The Multifaith is the prayer area allocated for the Muslims at Ryerson. LOCATION The Multifaith is located in room OAK319. Which is on the 3rd floor of Oakham House. DIRECTIONS There are 2 main ways to reach the Multifaith. The first is through the Student Center. Go up to the 3rd floor and make a right (so that you're facing the elevator), another right (so that you're facing the CESAR office, then a final right (so that you're facing a little hall. Walk towards the end of the hall and enter the door to your left (it's the only door there!). Walk straight and enter the door in front of your (if you're a sister) or walk down and then turn right (if you're a brother). The second way is directly through Oakham House. Go through the Oakham House doors on Gould St. Walk up the twirly stairs until you reach the very top. There you should see an office. Turn left (the only direction you can turn). You will see the first entrance (for brothers) and a second entrance (for sisters). Both entrances are to your right.
The OFFICIAL Multifaith Centre Guidelines (initiated by RSU, NOT the RMSA): 1. The use of the Multifaith Centre is restricted to Individual/Group Prayers and holding of small religious events, be recognized religious denominations. If clarification is required, Ryerson's Multifaith Council will govern. 2. Groups will be required to reserve the room through RSU's Student Group Coordinator. The room may be reserved on a semester basis where applicable. 3. All materials, including prayer books, must be stored after use. Individual users and groups are responsible for storing their materials. 4. Permission to use any religious symbols, icons, materials (e.g., candles) must be sought at time of booking and taken down after use. 5. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the room with the exception of religious sacrament. 6. With the exception of coffee and tea, all food and beverages used in the room must be approved at time of booking to ensure the products do not contravene dietary restrictions as outlined by the Multifaith Council. 7. Booking forms are available through the office of RyeSAC's Student Groups Coordinator. 8. The University reserves the right to deny use of the room to any individual or group who violates the above. 9. The University reserves the right to amend, modify, or change these guidelines upon recommendations from the Multifaith Council. 10. Exceptions to the above guidelines must be applied for in advance in writing to the Ryerson Multifaith Council c/o the Campus Groups Administrator, Oakham House
