If you have been to the IAW then you already know why you are reading this. If this is your first time attending and participating in an Islam Awareness Week, this is the place for you!

ISLAM AWARENESS WEEK is one oldest reoccurring event put on traditionally by Muslims students on Ryerson's campus. Its a one and singular opportunity during an entire year of stress, studies and fun time events for Muslims and Non- Muslims to have a frank and open atmosphere in which to talk about everything and anything that relates to questions about Islam.

Purpose of the event:

• Educate and Inform
• Deliver the Message as the Prophet (peace be upon him) was commanded to do by Allah (Subhanahuwatalla)
• Facilitate discussion about Islam and Muslims in a positive environment

This incredible opportunity allows Muslims on campus to speak for themselves and in an environment conducive to discussion and open dialogue on all issues of contention that Muslims and non-Muslims face on campus.

There are a lot of people talking about Islam directly and indirectly, it our duty as Muslims to talk about from the correct sources and in the manner best emulated by the Prophet (peace be upon him).

We encourage that every brother and every sister to find a way to contribute and get involved with the event. Please look for updates on dates and activities on this website and via e-mail, and contact the organizers through the website.

We have all met questions that are to answers and comments that leave us feeling in adequate and unsure of our strength as Muslims. If you want to conquer these insecurities and revive the true spirit of Islam, in yourself and in other around you, get involved.
