Code of Honour

The RMSA will continually operate on the proper Islamic Etiquette and RSU policies dealing with our interactions with one-another.

Main Islamic Codes to be observed by all members (Derived from the following verse from the Holy Quran):

1) Unity (Reconciliation)
[49:10] The believers are nothing else than brothers and sisters (in Islâmic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers / sisters, and fear Allâh, that you may receive mercy.
ِ

2) Team Work
[5:2] Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue [Good Deeds], righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And be mindful of Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Severe in punishment.

3,4) Trust / Justice
[4:58] Verily! Allâh commands that you should render back the trusts to those to whom they are due; and that when you judge between people, you judge with justice. Verily, how excellent is the teaching which He (Allâh) gives you! Truly, Allâh is Ever All-Hearer, All-Seer.

5,6) Hard Work / Accountability
[9:105] And say (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) "(Work) Do deeds! Allâh will see your deeds, and (so will) His Messenger and the believers. And you will be brought back to the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen. Then He will inform you of what you used to do."

7) Integrity
[61:3] Most hateful it is with Allâh that you say that which you do not do.

8) Order / Obedience to Authority
[4:59] O you who believe! Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger (Muhammad (peace be upon him)) and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allâh and His Messenger (peace be upon him), if you believe in Allâh and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination.

9,10) Synergy / Tolerance (Patience)
[8:46] And obey Allâh and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength depart, and be patient. Surely, Allâh is with those who are As-Sâbirin (the patient).

11) Respect
[49:11] O you who believe! Let not a group (men) scoff at another group, it may be that the latter are better than the former. Nor let (some) women scoff at other women, it may be that the latter are better than the former. Nor defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. How bad is it to insult one's brother after having Faith (i.e. to call your Muslim brother / sister (a faithful believer) as: "O sinner", or "O wicked"). And whosoever does not repent, then such are indeed Zâlimûn (wrong-doers, etc.).

12) Manners
[49:12] O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions; indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful.

13) Humbleness
[17:37] And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height.

14,15,16) Compassion / Democracy / Trust in Allah The Almighty (Faith)
[3:159] And by the Mercy of Allâh, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allâh's) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allâh, certainly, Allâh loves those who put their trust (in Him).
