Salam Walaikum brothers & sisters,
The RMSA and all its members would like to thank everyone for a successful year Alhamdullilah. We wish you all a happy and joyous summer, and hope to see you back next year insh'Allah.
As some of you attended, the last RMSA event of the year was Appreciation & Farewell Dinner 2009, held at Ryerson University Student Campus Center SCC 115 on Thursday, April 30th, 2009. We are deeply sorry for the cancellation of the initially planned cruise due to unexpected weather conditions.
On a final note, the RMSA would like to convey special thanks to this year's graduating students for all their hard work and effort for the MSA. May Allah (swt) bless them in this life and hereafter.
Sister Ghadeer Siyam, for her leadership, organization, and dedication which she performed with utmost care and ehsan.
Brother Hisham Rahman, for his leadership and upholding responsibilities for the Orphan Sponsorship Program.
Brother Saleh Motaal, for his continuous dedication and work towards this website
Brother Yusuf Saber, for his work and effort in communications and the website.
Sister Ifrah Shire, for her role as VP sisters.

Salam Everyone:
I have been working on a desktop version of Athan for Mac/Windows/Linux. The code was written in RealBasic a while back and I have managed to recompile it again recently. I hope that insha-Allah with some help I can get the algorithm updated to match my latest script which should be more accurate. I also hope that you can join in this project with me (2-3 people) and insha-Allah we take this to mobile devices, AJAX and so forth.

At Ryerson, we are thankful to have the Multifaith room (OAK 319) in which we may perform the prayers in congregation or alone. Daily Prayers, the five daily prayers in which Muslims pray to Allah in congregation or seclusion, at the mosque (when possible) or at home, are an obligation on all able Muslims. |
